Top 3 Spots for Dining Al Fresco in McLean

As the Memorial Day weekend approaches, time is running out to enjoy dining in spring weather.

There's nothing better than enjoying a delicious meal while sitting outside soaking in the sunlight, and with the Memorial Day weekend almost upon us, there's no better time than the present to experience some al fresco dining before it gets too hot.

If you live or work in McLean, there are three particularly good spots to grab a meal and enjoy the nice spring breeze while it lasts.

1. Masala Indian Cuisine, 1394 Chain Bridge Road. This highly rated newcomer just opened after French restaurant Bistro Vivant closed at the end of December. Masala specializes in "fine Indian cuisine cooked with perfect blend of spices."

2. Shake Shack, 7924U Tysons Corner Center. When it comes to fast food, there's not much better out there than Shake Shack, a chain that is quickly spreading throughout the D.C. region. This location at Tysons Corner has plenty of seats outside to enjoy the weather.

3. Assaggi Osteria, 6641 Old Dominion Drive. This Italian restaurant focuses on fish and homemade pastas, and there is seating directly in front of the restaurant for those hoping to get a little bit of sun with their pasta. It's a bit pricey, with a panini setting you back $12-13 and pastas in the $17-18 range.
