Billy Smelser is a Strasburg-based contemporary painter who began his artistic journey in 2018. Principally self-taught, Smelser has developed a versatile practice rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world. While watercolor remains his primary passion, he frequently explores other mediums to capture the complexity of his subjects—drawing inspiration from the paradox of nature’s seemingly permanent landscapes and structures that continuously shift through the rotating seasons.

&nbsp;Bluegrass is proud to present Nothin Fancy Band for the final free concert for 2026. Nothin’ Fancy formed as a bluegrass band in 1994. Since then, they have grown in popularity, released 11 full length albums, and continue to perform at festivals across the United States and in international engagements. Their audiences have gathered at notable venues such as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN; the Lincoln Center in New York City; and the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. They have been seen at Dollywood, and are a regular fixture at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO where promoter/coordinator D.A. Callaway described Nothin’ Fancy as “the act that America needs to see.” They have successfully hosted their own Nothin’ Fancy Bluegrass Festival every year since 2001 in Buena Vista, VA on the fourth weekend of September.&nbsp;Bring your family and friends and sit under the Backyard Music beautiful pavilion (rain or shine).&nbsp; Plenty of seating.&nbsp; Food, non-alcoholic drinks and ice cream available to purchase.&nbsp; 50/50 drawing and free-will donation to help keep these free concerts going in 2027.

Join us every Tuesday in October at 6:30 PM for light hors d’oeuvres while you settle in with a glass of wine. Then at 7 PM, we’ll sit down to a homestyle dinner together.
$35 per person includes: light hors d’oeuvres, one glass of Wolf Gap wine, and a homestyle meal.
And the fun part? The menu will change every week. 👀 We’ll announce each Tuesday’s meal ahead of time, so you’ll always know what’s cooking. Make sure to follow along our page for updates!
Come with your spouse. Bring your friends. Grab your neighbor. Or come on your own and make some new ones. Supper Club is meant to feel easy, welcoming, and just a little bit like gathering around the dinner table with friends.
Reservations are encouraged because seating is limited, but walk-ins are welcome if we have room.
