Occasionally Cake Creates Cake for Military Ball

owner Sabrina Campbell was one of three cake designers invited by Food Network’s Ashley Vicos to create a 4-foot tall cake for the Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery(1-9), located at Fort Stewart, Ga.

Working with Vicos and two other cake designers, Campbell spent a week in Georgia helping create the vanilla cake with chocolate-fudge filling, replicating a big, sculpted tank, set adjacent to a decorative Christmas tree, and presented the cake to the Battalion at their annual Christmas Ball at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Pooler, Ga.

The 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery (1-9) had invited Ashley Vicos, host of the Food Network show “Have Cake Will Travel” as a way to welcome soldiers home and boost morale. Dawn Food Products, Inc. of Jackson, Mich. stepped in to help with all the travel expenses for the cake decorating team.

“I was so honored to be asked by Ashley Vicos to work on this project and excited to be able to give back to the hard-working military men and women,” said Campbell. “Let’s remember all of our armed forces working overseas, stationed away from their families during this holiday season.”
