Virginia's Positive Coronavirus Rate Getting Closer to 5 Percent
The Virginia Department of Health reported 902 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, up from the 580 new cases reported Wednesday. The cumulative total of cases in Virginia is 143,492, while deaths stand at 3,113 and hospitalizations at 10,769.

A new ramp from Route 28 South to Interstate 66 East will open Friday morning, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Drivers on Route 28 South will stay to the right to access I-66 East using the new ramp, located prior to the traffic signal and two left-turn lanes that drivers currently use.
