Husband Charged with Murder After Wife's Body Found in Occoquan River

Andrea Crew was last seen Wednesday, according to Fairfax County Police.

A Mount Vernon man has been charged in the death of his wife after Fairfax County Police confirmed a body floating in the Occoquan River on Saturday was Andrea Crew, a woman first reported missing on Thursday.

Caleb Crew, 25, has been charged with murder. He was arrested at the Mount Vernon District Station and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center  

The body of Andrea Crew, 31, a mother of two living in the 8000 block of Gila Court in Alexandria, was found by a boater at around 9 a.m. on Saturday

According to police, Andrea Crew was last seen near a bank in the 5500 clock of Cherokee Avenue on Aug. 7, and was reported missing the following day. Her body was transported to the Fairfax County Medical Examiner's office where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner of her death.
