To help combat fetal alcohol syndrome, the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome hosted a charity event in Mount Vernon on Sunday afternoon.
The event, "Smart Moms, Healthy Babies", was a joint maternity fashion show and silent auction.
The event helped to raise money to fund the Smart Moms, Healthy Babies initiative. The strategy aims to increase education through trainings, screenings, and internet-based methods.
