Why:IgNITE: Kanaval invites new and returning audiences to experience the Chrysler Museum in bold and unexpected ways, inspired by the exhibition “<a href="https://chrysler.org/exhibition/beyond-the-mountains-danny-lyons-photography-in-haiti/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Beyond the Mountains: Danny Lyon’s Photography in Haiti</a>.” By connecting art, performance, music, dancing and cultural celebration, this event creates a welcoming space where creativity and community come together.
Tickets: Ticket prices are $10 for Museum members and $25 for non-members. Tickets increase $10 on the day of event. Tickets are available now at chrysler.org/ignite.
Dress Code: Bold and colorful Carnival attire is encouraged. For safety and security, handheld masks are permitted, but full-face and masquerade-style masks are not. Attire should not extend six inches beyond the body. No nudity.

The Annex

Speidel, Goodrich, Goggin, Lille (SGGL) return to Michael Lille's hometown&nbsp;this coming Friday April 24th at 8:00 pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm and additional show details can be at https://theannexnfx.com.
SGGL started in Charlottesville, Virginia at the University of Virginia in 1983 when Rusty Speidel, Tom Goodrich, and Michael Goggin formed SGG. In the mid-80’s, Michael Goggin left the band to attend law school and was replaced by Michael Lille. SGL played the Mid-Atlantic college circuit for several years and after a brief hiatus, the band reformed in 1987 (both Michaels included) as SGGL. They have produced 4 albums, played thousands of shows all over the world, and continue to attract large audiences to their hopeful, fun, and thoughtful songs, great singing, and stellar band performances. Their live show is always a terrific journey through love, loss, and the often hilarious human condition we all share.

Oh Merry Men! It is time to Forget those Kids! At 9:30PM we’re kicking the kids out and turning the building into a high-energy, fairytale-inspired dance night where the ogres run the castle.
Our DJ will be spinning party anthems, throwbacks, and rave beats fit for the most legendary swamp celebration.
What to Expect:
Costume Contest – Come dressed as your favorite fairytale character, swamp royalty, or storybook villain for a chance to win epic prizes. Ogre Roar Contest – Do The Roar! Think you’ve got the loudest, most powerful roar in the land? Step up and show us what you’ve got. Swamp-Inspired Drink Menu – Specialty themed cocktails and concoctions crafted just for the night. Bring your family and friends to the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, April 25 from noon to 7 p.m. rain or shine. This free, family-friendly event will be held at Fireman’s Field Park and inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink at 250 South Nursery Avenue.

Enjoy a full day of live music and performances across multiple stages, along with an art exhibit, games, chalk art, and a variety of interactive activities. Browse offerings from local vendors featuring handcrafted goods, food, beverages, and more. There will be fun for all ages, including face painting, glitter tattoos, sidewalk chalk art, and t-shirt or tote bag decorating. Local non-profits will also be on-site sharing information and resources. Special activities will highlight and celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s independence. 
Inside the Bush Tabernacle Skating Rink—transformed into the Art Hall—you’ll find more than 30 works of art, live performances, art demonstrations, and hands-on activities including quilt square decorating and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Be sure to pick up a festival scavenger hunt booklet and complete it for a chance to win a prize!
