City Of Norfolk: Driver In Critical Condition After Crash On E. Virginia Beach Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – The driver of a car that crashed Sunday afternoon in the 2700 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard remains in critical condition.

Police responded for the report of a single vehicle accident in the 2700 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.  

Norfolk Fire-Rescue transported the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the driver lost control of the car, and hit a utility pole.

The cause of this crash is still under investigation; however, investigators believe speed to be a factor.
