City Of Norfolk: Man Dies Following Last Week's Shooting On Wyoming Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives are now investigating a homicide after a man dies following a shooting on Wyoming Avenue.

On September 8, 2021, around 10:50 p.m. police responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Wyoming Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man, identified as Michael Corbin, 35, of Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. On September 13, 2021, Corbin died from his injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or any suspect information surrounding this incident.
