City Of Norfolk: Norfolk Police Identify Driver Killed Following Crash On Chesapeake Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash Sunday night that left a man dead.

On October 3, 2021, shortly before 9:30 p.m., Officers responded to the 9600 block of Chesapeake Boulevard for the report of a single vehicle accident. When police arrived, they located the driver of the vehicle who was suffering from life-threatening injuries. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver has been identified as, Scott M. Haney,31, of Norfolk.

This investigation is still ongoing; however, Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor.
