City Of Norfolk: Police Identify Man Fatally Shot On 39th Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have identified the man fatally shot Friday evening as 20-year-old Dominique J. Brooks.

Around 8:45 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 1000 block of W. 39th Street. When police arrived, they found Brooks suffering from gunshot wounds. Brooks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have not released any suspect information or the circumstances surrounding this deadly incident; however, they ask anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at Line 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
