Here are the top 3 stories today in Norfolk:

  1. Over the weekend, a multi-vehicle crash temporarily closed the westbound side of I-64 at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel. The crash happened on Saturday morning, and Virginia officials had all westbound lanes shut down until about 1:15 p.m. that afternoon as crews cleared the scene. No further information has been released at this time. (WAVY)
  2. Fans of Norfolk State University basketball witnessed a historic win for the women's team on Saturday as they defeated Delaware State 102-36 at Echols Hall this weekend. The team's 66-point win was secured thanks to a record-setting 15 3-pointers. It was the largest margin of victory against a MEAC opponent in NSU history. (HBCU Gameday)
  3. A Saturday house fire on Wedgefield Avenue sent two residents to the hospital. Norfolk Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched in the early afternoon and found heavy fire and smoke coming from the home. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the condition of the two individuals is unknown at this time. (WAVY)
