- For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, Norfolk Harborfest will be returning in person to Norfolk Festivents this year. Organizers with Festivents announced that the longstanding music, food, and maritime festival will take place from Jun. 10-Jun. 12; tickets are available for purchase now. The remainder of the 2022 season will be filled with both new events and longstanding traditions. (WAVY.com)
- Officials with the Norfolk Health Department want to remind people who may receive a robocall or text reminder to get their COVID-19 booster shot that this is not a scam. The links and contact information in the message are safe to use. This initiative has also been launched in Hampton Roads and other areas of Virginia. (WAVY.com)
- The Norfolk City Council approved funding for the Granby Street Bike Lanes Project during Tuesday's meeting. The funds will come from an $822,000 sum the city received from the Virginia Department of Transportation nearly six years ago. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
