Here are the top two stories today in Norfolk:
- A Norfolk youth organization is working to build understanding and healing around racism in the Hampton Roads area. "OTU: The Healing Quilt," created by Teens With a Purpose, is an interactive multimedia project that shares the personal experiences of local youth and adults of the African Diaspora. The event had its first virtual showing last night, with future hybrid exhibits coming in February and March. (WAVY.com)
- On Saturday night, a woman and four children were hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash in the Monitor Memorial Bridge Tunnel. The woman hit the back of a tow truck while attempting to change lanes around a Mercedes, during which time her passenger door was ripped off; her vehicle was then pushed in front of the Mercedes, and the woman was ejected from her car. She was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries; all four children were also hospitalized, though the extent of their injuries was not revealed. (WAVY.com)
