Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:
- A man with a gunshot wound walked into the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. According to officials with Portsmouth's emergency dispatch services, the victim was shot in Portsmouth and not shot in Norfolk. The City of Portsmouth has been looking to address the recent increase in gun violence throughout the city. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
- A Christchurch School basketball player's 3 point shot and subsequent backflip at Norfolk Academy went viral. Senior Evan Randall made the shot in the last twenty seconds of the game on Tuesday and followed the shot with a sudden backflip. A video of the entertaining stunt was sent to ESPN and was aired. - A car suddenly crashed into Naci's Corner Café on the corner of Granby and 19th Streets. The building has now been condemned by the Norfolk Fire Department until the structural damage can be repaired. According to police, it was a 21-year-old driver who crashed into the side of the café with an investigation being conducted before charges are issued. (wtkr.com)
