Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:

1. The Norfolk Saint Patrick's Day parade begins next Saturday. The parade experienced a two-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic but 2022 will be the parade's 53rd year of operation. The parade will start at Northside Middle School with road closures beginning at 9:00 AM. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
2. A local Norfolk woman recently turned 100 years old! Dorethea Johnson celebrated her birthday surrounded by friends and family. According to Dorethea's daughter, she is in good spirits and alert. The family invited 13NewsNow to Dorethea's birthday party. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
3. The City of Norfolk is surveying the community about housing decisions. The data will be used by the city to take meaningful action regarding equitable housing measures throughout the area while addressing community needs.
