Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:
- Governor Youngkin signed a new law giving localities across the state the power to cut tax rates and prevent huge tax hikes caused by increases in used vehicle values. Localities across Hampton Roads have been looking for ways to provide relief to car owners impacted by the increased value of used cars. (WAVY.com)
- Keyontae Johnson, a college basketball star from Norfolk, has been accused of felony sexual battery. The 22-year old University of Florida basketball player has not been formally charged. Johnson has not played for the Gators since he collapsed on the court on Dec. 12, 2020. (The Virginian-Pilot)
- Norfolk Fire & Rescue brought a heavy duplex fire at 2603 and 2605 Pretty Lake under control within an hour of being dispatched. The fire broke out early Sunday morning and was upgraded to second alarm status. One firefighter sustained a minor injury. (News 3 WTKR Norfolk)
