Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:
- One person is dead and two have been injured after a Norfolk mall shooting on Saturday evening. A man was found dead at the scene of the MacArthur Center shooting, and two injured women were rushed to the hospital, said officials. The investigation is ongoing and Norfolk police are currently searching for the suspect. (WWBT)
- In case you missed it, select Norfolk libraries are now offering free COVID-19 at-home test kits. As of last week, certain library locations began offering free tests at their information desks or using curbside pickup Tuesdays through Saturdays while supplies last. Participating locations include the Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch, the Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch, the Richard A. Tucker Memorial Branch, and Slover Library. (News 3 WTKR Norfolk)
- A Virginia Beach man was recently sentenced to 17 years in prison in connection with a 2019 fatal shooting at Downtown Norfolk Transit Center. Ferrari Aramis Ferdinand, 30, was accused of killing Quontrell Deon Snowden, a 31-year-old Norfolk man, and found guilty of second-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of murder.
