Here are the top stories today in Norfolk:
- The Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) and Portsmouth Humane Society (PHS), through a unique public-private partnership, have collaborated to open a veterinary clinic. The clinic, located in the city-owned space adjacent to NACC, will provide spay/neuter services and medical treatment for pets in both organizations. (Press Release Desk )
- The Norfolk City Council has decided the fate of a local nightclub on Tuesday following complaints of violence surrounding the establishment. The council unanimously voted to allow for Culture to continue operating as a restaurant starting in seven days and not as a nightclub. As a result, it will remain as a nightclub for the next week. - On Tuesday, police investigated a fatal motorcycle crash on Kempsville Road in Norfolk. The call came in about the crash at 3 p.m. Police confirmed it involved a motorcycle and that a man was pronounced dead at the scene. (WAVY.com)
