  1. The Navy's top admiral visited Norfolk and Hampton Roads on Friday. Admiral Mike Gilday is the senior military officer of the Department of the Navy. He stopped to speak at a Naval Safety Command stand-up ceremony and held a media briefing aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87) which is homeported at Naval Station Norfolk.   2. A man died on Friday morning after a hit-and-run in Norfolk. Officers were called at around 3:45 a.m. to the 1800 block of Tidewater Drive, between Taggart and Billings streets, and found the victim dead at the scene. According to dispatch, traffic was shut down at Tidewater Drive at Lindenwood Avenue and Tidewater at St. Julian Avenue. (WAVY.com)
  3. The 2022 Landlord Learning Series by The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority and Rent Ready Norfolk will kick off on Feb. 22. Free hour-and-a-half webinars will be held covering topics of importance to landlords in Norfolk every fourth Tuesday of the month through July. In each session of the virtual series, local experts will present on common problems landlords face and many other topics of interest. (wtkr.com)
