1. Norfolk's Great Hot Cocoa War of 2021 is upon us, and last year's champs, Stripers Waterside, are thirsty for more. The team used three sacks of sugar, a handful of chocolate bars, and a bottle of vodka to refine their perfect recipe for this year's brawl. This week's contest is touting some heavy hitters including Vessel Craft Coffee, Hell's Kitchen, Zeke's, and Capo Capo. (Daily Press)
2. MacArthur on Ice has reopened for the 2021 holiday season. The outdoor skating rink is located adjacent to the festive and bustling downtown corridor of MacArthur Center in the heart of Downtown Norfolk (300 Monticello Avenue).
