- A nightclub near Military Circle is being asked to lock its doors after the Norfolk City Council voted Tuesday night to revoke the business' conditional use permit. In a 6-1 vote, council members shut down Origami Asian Bistro after several years of complaints from neighbors and hundreds of visits from the police to the surrounding property. The vote comes in a year where Norfolk has seen an uptick in violent crime. (WAVY.com)
- The Ronald McDonald House in Norfolk is celebrating its 40th anniversary this week with a "40 for 40" campaign. They are asking for donations to raise $40K in 40 hours. The campaign began yesterday and will end at midnight this Friday, Dec. 10. (wtkr.com)
