🌱 Paint The Ice Rink + Norfolk Man Threatened With Knife

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Norfolk.

Hey, neighbors! Sean Peek here with a fresh issue of the Norfolk Daily.

First, today's weather:

Plenty of sunshine. High: 46 Low: 28.

Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:

  1. On Monday, the MacArthur Center invited families to paint the ice rink. Monday marked the rink's last day of the season, and to celebrate, families and friends alike were invited to showcase their art during the event from 4:00-6:00 p.m. (WAVY.com)
  2. A Norfolk man was threatened with a knife by his roommate on Saturday night after an argument broke out between the two. The victim told police that 43-year-old Ethan Kitto was apparently holding a knife during the argument and was threatening to kill him — a witness at the apartment confirmed this account. Kitto was located and arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats. (Norfolk Daily News)
  3. Check out what jobs are available in the Norfolk Area. Currently, there are a lot of customer service jobs looking for applicants, including Support Services Associate and Remote Call Center Representatives positions. Other fields looking to hire include sales, government services, and truck driving. (Norfolk Patch)

Doing a "Dry January" or just looking for a flavorful alternative to regular cocktails? Here's a suggestion: try a non-alcoholic drink from our partners at Betera. Created by an award-winning chef from natural botanicals, Betera's drinks come in 3 flavors — Ginger-Orange, Elderflower-Lime and Rhubarb-Hibiscus. We tried Ginger-Orange, and it was excellent — lightly effervescent, floral with a hint of bitterness and the sippability of a cocktail.

Betera is offering readers of the Daily a 15% discount on their first order: use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — you can try Betera here.
