  1. The future of Virginia Beach and Norfolk was in the spotlight last night during a forum hosted by music artist Pharrell Williams. Williams hosted"The Elephant In The Room" with corporate leaders from Virginia and the "national stage" at Norfolk State University. Williams, a Virginia Beach native, said he wants leaders of financial institutions to communicate what would make them invest in the Hampton Roads region. (WAVY.com)
  2. Two sixth-grade students from Missouri teamed with a Norfolk-based group, Troopster, to send care packages to sailors. Kristin and Addie's English teacher gave their class an assignment that challenged students to help people. This "Change The World" project led the two girls to do something for service members by raising money for care packages that included snacks such as protein bars, nuts, dried fruit, and coffee.   3. Norfolk police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday night on E. Virginia Beach Blvd. While there are few details at this time, dispatchers say it happened around 12:24 a.m. in the 5300 block near Raby Road. Officers were found investigating at the Crystal Lake apartments. (WAVY.com)
