- The Norwegian Getaway cruise ship is the first major ship to visit Norfolk in nearly two years. The ship docked at Nauticus and allowed nearly 2,000 passengers to experience Norfolk's downtown area. The economic impact of cruise ships for the Norfolk area is roughly $125 per passenger that disembarks. (wtkr.com)
- In remembrance of President's Day, the City of Norfolk will close all of its government buildings today. Libraries, recreation centers, the Department of Public Health, and the Consolidated Court's Complex will also be closed. Services will resume as scheduled on Feb. 22, 2022. (WAVY.com)
- After 32 years, the remains of Norfolk teenager Timothy Mangum have been identified using DNA tests. In 1990, Mangum's skull was found while a resident was clearing brush from their land. The Sherriff's office will continue working the investigation in an attempt to reveal the cause of death. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
