🌱 Robot Exhibit Comes To Norfolk + EZ Inn Restaurant Shooting

Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:

  1. A man currently serving a life sentence in Virginia has been sentenced to an additional 35 to 50 years for killing his 14-year-old daughter. Dennis Bowman is already in prison for killing and raping Kathleen Doyle in Norfolk in 1980. Doyle was the wife of a U.S. Nay pilot and authorities tied Bowman to the case with an eventual confession. Bowman also killed his daughter in 1989 by pushing her down a flight of stairs.   2. The Norfolk Police Department responded to a shooting at the EZ Inn restaurant on Azalea Garden Drive. A man is being treated at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries in connection to the shooting. Investigators are currently asking the community to come forward with any information regarding the shooting. (WAVY.com)
  3. A new robot art exhibit is coming to Norfolk. The Barry Art Museum and Old Dominion University seek to show the community how robots operate and how they can impact our lives in a positive way. Robots that allow children in isolation to socialize and robots that are used in de-escalation exercises for law enforcement will be showcased at the exhibit. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
