  1. Virginia gubernatorial candidates Terry McAuliffe (D) and Glenn Youngkin (R) both stopped in Norfolk this week to discuss their proposed efforts to boost the Commonwealth's economy during the pandemic. Both candidates are eager to create new jobs for Virginians and support local small businesses with financial assistance and resource programs. (13NewsNow)
  2. The Suffolk City Public Schools community is mourning the passing of 10-year-old Teresa Sperry, whose death may have been linked to COVID-19. The Virginia Department of Health said it was currently reviewing a case regarding a child between the ages of 10 and 19, but declined to specify if it was Sperry. (FOX 5 DC)
  3. Ryan Elza, a 42-year-old Norfolk Public School teacher, will be tried for arson before a grand jury in connection with a West Ghent house fire last year. (13NewsNow)
  4. The 17,000 square-foot Richard A. Tucker Memorial Library opened on Norfolk's southside on Sept. 17 and will now be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (WAVY)
