The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Norfolk.

Good day, neighbors! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Norfolk Daily.

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny and mild. High: 62 Low: 47.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Norfolk:

  1. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has moved to a new location within the hospital to offer patients more private and semi-private rooms. The new rooms offer an outside window with natural lighting to help establish a stable circadian rhythm for the patients and their babies. The new ward also comes with additional space for more nursing stations, milk techs, ventilators, and remote telemetry systems that will provide better care options for the babies. 2. The Norfolk Police Department is investigating the theft of a special car outfitted for a disabled person. The car was reported stolen out of the Boush Street Garage while the owner was inside Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub & Restaurant enjoying a meal with a friend. The vehicle was a 2011 Dodge Charger with plate number 948-07H and it had a $3000 wheelchair conversion installed within the vehicle. Please contact the department if you have any information related to the theft. (WAVY.com)
  3. A crane that fell into the Willoughby Bay will remain in the water for at least the next week or so. The crane fell off of a barge and entered the water on Feb. 8 while it was being moved. The operator of the crane was thankfully able to exit the crane before it entered the water. Officials report the crane will have to wait until a bigger crane can arrive to raise it out of the bay.
