Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:

  1. The Norfolk Federation of Teachers is speaking out about the School Board's lack of public comment before voting on the next school year's budget. The Norfolk School Board will vote on the superintendent's budget proposal on Wednesday. The President of the Norfolk Federation of Teachers is encouraging the community to attend the meeting in an effort to confront the board. (News 3 WTKR Norfolk)
  2. Norfolk State is facing Baylor during March Madness. Norfolk State will be placed as the 16th seed while Baylor, defending champions, are placed in the first seed. Head Coach Robert Jones was not hoping for the 16th seed but sees this as an opportunity to prove themselves. (WAVY.com)
  3. The Tide will potentially be extended to the Military Circle Redevelopment Area. The new line would pick travelers up from the Newtown Road station and drop them off at two new stops. The first stop would be at Sentara Leigh Hospital and the second stop would be at the newly redeveloped Military Circle. (News 3 WTKR Norfolk)
