🌱 US Caucus Supports Norfolk Shipyard + E 26th St Auto Shop Fire

Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:

  1. A new caucus has been formed to focus on public shipyards in the United States. Norfolk Naval Shipyard is one of four U.S. public shipyards that will receive support from the caucus. Public shipyards are responsible for repairing and retrofitting submarines and aircraft carriers. (WTOP)
  2. A Norfolk man was injured in a weekend shooting in Virginia Beach. The incident happened at West Beach Tavern shortly after midnight on Mar. 26, when an argument reportedly escalated. The 27-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries. (City of Virginia Beach)
  3. A fire at a Norfolk auto body shop caused major damage on Saturday. According to officials, three vehicles at the East 26th Street shop had caught fire and spread to the shop building. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation. (WAVY.com)
