Fairfax County Police have arrested and charged a man believed to have stolen medications from local hospitals and sold them on eBay for profit. Seven medical kits worth about $33,000 apiece were allegedly stolen by a medical supply vendor who had access to hospital operating rooms.

Liberty Gratz was diligently straightening items on a bottom shelf at a Midlothian, Virginia, Publix store Sunday when she took a blow to the back by a disgruntled shopper, who apparently was agitated that Gratz hadn't responded to her question about where to find a specific item.

Fire Strikes Animal Boarding Center With 70 Dogs Inside
An April 19 fire damaged an animal veterinary and boarding center in McLean, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department says. Firefighters found a fire on the second floor and said 25 adults and about 70 dogs were inside at the time of the fire.
