Alexandria’s Bradlee Shopping Center has seen quite a few changes in recent years with the opening of Fresh Market, California Tortilla and Zoe’s Kitchen, Massage Heights and the MedStar PromptCare clinic where the old Blockbuster video store used to be.
In addition to the new businesses, the center has also seen the departure of Chicken Out, the flower shop, Washington Sports Club and the bagel shop.
It’s also seen the renovation of McDonald’s and renovation and expansion of Rite Aid.

Here are the most recent changes:
- The Foot Solutions shoe store, located near the corner of the center near the U.S. Post Office, has closed and its windows are papered over. It appears the only Foot Solutions in the DC metro area is located in Bethesda. The Alexandria Web site switches to the Bethesda location.
- B&C Jewelers plans on moving its store after the holidays to a smaller space at Bradlee, next to SunTrust Bank (it recently opened another store in Old Town Alexandria).
- King Street Back and Neck Care plans to move to a nearby location behind the newly rebuilt Safeway.
No word yet from Washington Real Estate Investment Trust or KLNB Retail on what will be taking the place of the health club, the chiropractor, the jewelry store space or the shoe store.
