Loudoun officials had to close their coronavirus testing site in Leesburg more than three hours early because of the huge number of people wanting to get tested during the one-day event. The testing site at Philip A. Bolen Memorial Park reached capacity before 2:30 p.m. Officials had hoped to keep the testing site open until 6 p.m.

VA Working With Amazon, Vendors On Coronavirus Supplies: Northam
With hospitals no longer facing shortages of personal protective equipment across Virginia, the state is now making testing sites for the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, and local health departments top priorities for receiving protective equipment, Gov. Ralph Northam said Wednesday at a news conference in Richmond.

Virginia Reports Nearly 10K New PCR Tests For Coronavirus
The Northern Virginia region accounted for 587 of the 763 new cases, or 76.9 percent. These include 295 new cases in Prince William County, 143 in Fairfax County, 52 in Loudoun County, 40 in Arlington County, 33 in Alexandria, 19 in Manassas and five in Manassas Park. There were no new cases in Falls Church or Fairfax City.
Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In DC Tops 7,500
The D.C. Department of Health confirmed seven new deaths Wednesday due to COVID-19, the illness associated with the new coronavirus, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths in the District to 407.

Tysons Corner Center is fully open as of Tuesday, May 19, according to mall owner Macerich. Northern Virginia has a mix of malls that opted to close or remain open with businesses under coronavirus-related restrictions.
Second DASH Bus Driver Tests Positive For Coronavirus
A DASH Bus driver who last worked on Saturday, May 16 has tested positive for the new coronavirus, the Alexandria Transit Company announced Tuesday. This is the second DASH bus driver who tested positive for the virus. The driver is recovering at home.
