NAMIWalks 2026 is NAMI Coastal Virginia’s signature community awareness and fundraising event. More than a walk, it is a visible, unifying demonstration of support for mental health across our region and a powerful reminder that mental health matters for everyone.
NAMIWalks brings together individuals, families, businesses, schools, faith communities, and organizations who share a commitment to ending stigma and building a more compassionate community. Participants walk in honor of loved ones, in celebration of recovery, in remembrance of those we have lost, and in solidarity with those who are currently navigating mental health challenges.
The event serves as both a powerful community awareness platform and a critical fundraising effort supporting NAMI Coastal Virginia’s free, accessible programs. Funds raised help sustain mental health education classes, peer-led support groups, family resources, and community outreach efforts that reach individuals and families across Coastal Virginia at no cost.
Beyond fundraising, NAMIWalks creates space for connection and hope. It brings together people from all walks of life to share stories, reduce stigma, and strengthen understanding around mental health conditions. It is a day filled with community spirit, encouragement, and visibility for an issue that affects so many.
NAMIWalks is not just about steps — it is about showing up for one another, breaking down barriers to care, building a stronger support network, and ensuring that no one has to walk their mental health journey alone.

​Transcendence will open its Virginia Beach Premiere by taking you on a musical journey through time! The singers will guide you through the lush colors of autumn towards the briskness of winter ultimately arriving at the hope of Christmas joy. The performance will feature seasonal works by renowned composers including Stanford, Howells, and Rachmaninoff as well as works accompanied by harp including movements from A Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten commemorating 50 years since his death. World premiere works will also be performed including a new setting of the beloved text, Ave Maria, composed by Maestro Rossi.
