Special Needs Teen Found Safe, San Diego Police Say
- Police said Crispin Dowell, 16, failed to return home after visiting Chase bank branches in Santee and La Mesa on Monday.

- Seth Kuykendall, 18, called the Carlsbad Police Department to report that he stabbed his roommate in the back following a dispute.

Shooter ID’d in Oceanside Motel Standoff
- Gunfire erupted at the Rodeway Inn on North Coast Highway in Oceanside shortly before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
- BREAKING: Rodeway Inn in Oceanside was partially evacuated when police searched for a suspected gunman.
Missing Encinitas Man Found Safe in Canyon Near Old Landfill
- John Fitzgerald, 71, was dehydrated, but otherwise fine Sunday. He suffers from Parkinson's disease, dementia and asthma.
Woman Found Dead Near Escondido
- The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
Fire Destroys Detached Garage in Vista
- Firefighters from Vista, Carlsbad and San Marcos kept the fire from spreading.
District Attorney Rules El Cajon Police Shooting of Alfred Olango Justified
- San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis said El Cajon Police Officer Richard Gonsalves will not face criminal charges.
- Salem Zora, 51, will be sentenced on Feb. 15 to 16 years to life in state prison.
Pedestrian Injured in Chula Vista Hit-and-Run Crash
- The victim was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center to be treated.
Man Sentenced for Sexually Assaulting Woman on La Jolla Street
- Marco Villasenor, 25, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life.
Spring Valley House Fire Injures Four
- The fire broke out at a house on the 10000 block of Don Pico Road shortly after noon Sunday.
Vista Apartment Fire Displaces Three Residents
- There were no injuries to firefighters or residents, and a damage estimate was not released.
- All three were taken to trauma centers for treatment. The driver, who was trapped and suffered serious injuries, is expected to survive.
