SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new work week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect cooler temperatures and rain this week, according to the National Weather Service.

"Cooler into the work week," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Sunday. "Beneficial rain arrives in the mid week and lasts into the weekend. Slight chances for storms Thursday and Friday."

In other news, a man who posed as a ride-hailing driver faces more than 100 years to life in prison for a string of rapes; a motorist accused of hitting a 10-year-old pedestrian was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence of alcohol; a woman was killed and a man was injured in a deadly duplex fire; a woman died after being found shot outside a home; and bomb experts removed explosives from a Bay Area residence.

Plus, President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Republican Steve Hilton in the California governor's race. Trump announced his endorsement of the former Fox News host on social media Sunday night.
