Man Accused of Murdering Police Officer Delays Entering Plea

- It happened at two Newark restaurants.
No One Injured in San Leandro Shooting

Man’s Body Found by Volunteers Cleaning up MLK Regional Shoreline
- The Alameda County coroner’s bureau took the body and will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
- The Powell Street off-ramp to Highway 80 was closed because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day protest, CHP officials said.
NY Teen Pleads Guilty to Killing Richmond Man in 2014 Crash
- Deepak Kumar had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana prior to the crash, prosecutors said.

- Police found a firearm near the abandoned SUV.

- Witnesses reported seeing the masked suspect near the business early Thursday morning.

- The 2004 Ford Econoline van that was parked with a victim inside it on Village Parkway near Devonwood, according to Hercules police.
Arrests Made in Bayfair Center Shooting
- No injuries were reported in the shooting, which occurred near the Old Navy and Bed Bath and Beyond stores.
