WINDSOR, CT — We are going with trains again this week, but instead of commemorating history, we are recognizing reality.

It's the train crossing at Island Road in Windsor.

Several trains cross daily and those playing on the upper fields at the Loomis Chaffee School are greeted by the whistles.

So are the residents. One who lives a short distance away joked last week that he never needs to set am alarm in the morning.

"I get one first thing in the the morning and then a few minutes later, so I don't even need a snooze," he said.
