Brandon Woman Charged in Wrong-Way Driving Incident
She was going the wrong way on State Road 60.

A 51-year-old Brandon woman faces a DUI charge after she was caught heading westbound in State Road 60’s eastbound lane.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 1:52 a.m. Thursday morning near Turkey Creek Road. Someone saw the woman going the wrong way and called it into deputies.
When deputies caught up with her, they say Bluma Lantzy “emitted the odor of an alcoholic beverage from her breath and bloodshot watery eyes,” an email to media from the sheriff’s office stated.

Deputies conducted field sobriety tests and observed impairment, the email said. Lantzy, however, refused a blood alcohol test.
She is just one of three wrong-way drivers encountered by local law enforcement in the last day or so. There have been 11 deaths related to the behavior on Tampa Bay area roads in 2014.
