Forgotten History Videos: Who Was the Real President Abraham Lincoln?

So says the YouTube Page for the first video posted below. Note that Heaton is a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps. This video provides a more nuanced look at President Lincoln than is often shared. He wasn't a pure saint, nor was he just another sinner.

So, even though Colin D. Heaton and this 10th Legion Pictures Production of "Forgotten History" lists Lincoln under "most corrupt" Heaton himself at the end of the second video asks the question. This writer has watched some videos that take a very dim view of President Abraham Lincoln (R), painting him as an evil man. Others share a more positive story. The truth is somewhere in between and Heaton's two videos above do a good job of presenting both sides of that story.

One of the first videos or movies this writer plugged in this series on the Patch was about Ronald Reagan (R). Perhaps a bit like Lincoln, someone can take the facts and evidence about Reagan and turn him into a super saint or into a villain.

History is the story of people who do some good, bad, and at times ugly things. The worst among us may do an occasional act of kindness. The best among us may have a dark side that is kept hidden. It is routinely best to keep one part of our mind focused on what's Godly because God alone is the source and summit of the best of our hopes and dreams.
