Suspect Arrested in Lilburn Walmart Killing

A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a security officer at a Lilburn Walmart. Police say Boaz Anthony Fordyce, 37, was arrested in DeKalb County without incident Tuesday evening.

Atlanta Braves outfielder Hector Olivera has been arrested in Virginia for an alleged domestic dispute.

Olivera, 31, was arrested at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City at 6:51 a.m. this morning on charges of assaulting a woman he knew. The woman had visible bruising and was taken to Virginia Hospital Center.

GBI Investigating Officer Shooting in DeKalb

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into a shooting by a Conyers police officer in Lithonia on Tuesday. At about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, a Conyers police officer located a vehicle believed to be driven by Diondre David Evans, 22.

The officer, along with a deputy from Rockdale County, stopped Evans' vehicle on an exit ramp off of Interstate 20 in DeKalb County. >>> Read more.
