• Columbus State University makes nearly $322 million impact on West Georgia's economy (wrbl.com) — Columbus State University pumped nearly $322 million into the west Georgia economy in fiscal 2025, setting a new record and supporting 2,681 jobs across the region. Local leaders say CSU's growing enrollment and spending are helping drive innovation, employment, and long-term prosperity for Columbus and the broader Chattahoochee Valley.
   

• Mill District launches 'Parent University' to support parents (wtvm.com) — Parents in Columbus can now tap into a new "Parent University" launched by the Mill District and United Way, with classes at Growing Room in uptown. Sessions help caregivers understand childhood trauma, improve reading habits, and connect with health, financial, and educational resources to support kids from cradle to career.
   

• Columbus Optimist Club raises funds for local nonprofits with 'Day of Giving' (wrbl.com) — A long-standing Columbus civic group just raised over $30,000 to support 20 local nonprofits across the Chattahoochee Valley. The Optimist Club of Columbus gathered at the Country Club of Columbus for its second annual Day of Giving, keeping every donated dollar working in the Fountain City community.
