One day before voters go to the polls in the inaugural election to seat leaders in the newly formed city of Stonecrest, a young mayoral candidate is speaking out after a mailer sent to voters over the weekend claimed that he was mentally ill.

Georgia Teacher Arrested In $6 Million Coke, Heroin Bust

Authorities in Georgia have charged three people, including a middle school teacher, in what they're calling one of the biggest drug busts in memory. Cocaine and heroin with an estimated street value of $6.2 million was confiscated in a Hall County raid on Thursday, authorities said. Firearms also were confiscated.

Movies have made Southern hospitality renowned all over, but nobody does it better than Georgia, which took top billing in a recent survey by Twiddy.com that ranked Southern states for their unique charms and down-home goodness. According to a survey of more than 2,000 Americans, Georgia easily boasts the most Southern Hospitality in the South.
