MLB Pitcher Zach Wheeler Has EPHS Jersey Retired
The N.Y. Mets pitcher from East Paulding High wore #45 in high school.

Wheeler Jersey Retired
Zach Wheeler, a 2009 graduate of East Paulding High School and current starting pitcher for the New York Mets was honored last weekend at a ceremony where his #45 was retired at East.

Zach was drafted by the San Francisco Giants with the 6th pick in the 2009 draft and was traded to the Mets in 2011, where has become a mainstay in their rotation.
Zach made his major league debut in June, 2013 in a game at Turner Field against the Braves and defeated the Braves 6-1 for his first major league victory.
