Belton Leroy Franks, age 84 of Douglasville, passed away, Saturday, February 21, 2015. He was born February 17, 1931 in Fulton, MS. He was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Jewell Franks; children and their spouses: Michael Schafer, Randall and Melodie Franks of Powder Springs, Tina and Ben Amerson of Hiram, Darryl and Shelly Franks of Dallas, Valerie and Len McGraw of Douglasville; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Wetonia and Alton Howell of Hamilton, AL, brothers and sister-in-law: George Franks of Palm Springs, CA, Joel & Betty Franks of Andrews, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dee Mathis Franks and mother, Bytha Lue Estes Franks.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Chastain and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery with Spencer Franks, Jacob McGraw, Collin Franks, Daniel Franks and Shannon Franks and Randy Shelnutt serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
