Possible Hit-and-Run Suspect Found in Tennessee Attic
The man and his girlfriend are wanted in connection with Aug. 2 death of pedestrian Robert Stoskopf in Douglas County.

A possible suspect in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a Lithia Springs man in August has been arrested in Tennessee after he was found hiding in an attic.
Justin Paul Buchanan, 31, of Winston-Salem, N.C., was hiding at a Kingsport, Tenn., residence with his reported girlfriend Kimberly Frisby when local police and a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office detective followed a tip to the residence last week, the Kingsport Times News reported. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office shared the report on Facebook Tuesday morning.
The couple is wanted for questioning in the Aug. 2 death of Robert Stoskopf, 67, who was found dead lying behind a guardrail near the intersection of Thornton Road and Waterford Club Drive, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said it received a tip that Buchanan and Frisby were “somehow involved” in the fatality, the newspaper reported.
According to Kingsport Police, when officers arrived at the house on Thursday, Dec. 4, Frisby answered the door. She let the officers in, but said no one else was in the residence. After Buchanan’s wallet was found, she admitted he was in the attic, the newspaper reported.
