The man accused of throwing scalding hot water onto a gay couple while they slept in his girlfriend's apartment has refused a plea deal, meaning he will go to trial.
Martin Blackwell is facing aggravated assault and battery charges after he allegedly threw the water onto Anthony Gooden Jr. and Marquez Tolbert earlier this year. He refused a plea deal earlier this week, reports 11 Alive. Both Gooden and Tolbert suffered second- and third-degree burns over their bodies and have undergone several extensive surgeries and treatments since the attack. >>> Read more.

Hot Car Death: Jurors Will See SUV Where Infant Died

The SUV in which a 22-month-old boy died a sweltering death will be allowed to be used in the murder trial of the boy's father.
Cobb Superior Court Judge Mary Staley ruled on Friday, according to AP, that jurors will be allowed to see the SUV where Cooper Harris died on June 18, 2014. His father, Justin Ross Harris, 35, is on trial for murder, accused by prosecutors of intentionally leaving his son in the SUV while he went to work. >>> Read more.
