Serial Bank Robber Strikes Again: Marietta SunTrust Robbed on Monday
The man appears to fit the same description as a suspect who has robbed five other banks in Cobb County.
MARIETTA, GA — A man who robbed Marietta's SunTrust Bank on Monday appears to fit the same description as a suspect wanted for at least four other bank robberies in Cobb County.
Cobb police the SunTrust Bank on Shallowford Road was robbed when a man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from the employee, he fled the scene on as a light colored bicycle.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10” to 5’11” tall, late 30s to early 40s, with a thin build and a brown and gray beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap with a logo on it, a dark long sleeve shirt, dark pants and blue athletic shoes with white soles.

The suspect fits the same description as a suspect who, in the past, has brandished a gun in several of his alleged robberies. Police say a man with that description has robbed:
- the Fifth Third Bank at 4209 Roswell Road on February 4;
- the Regions Bank at 2486 Roswell Road on April 1;
- the BB&T Bank at 4370 Roswell Road on May 25;
- the PNC Bank at 1111 Johnson Ferry Road on July 13; and
- the Fidelity Bank on Windy Ridge on August 22.
