Owner of Stolen Bicycle Tackles Suspected Thief, Holds Him Until Police Arrive
The man said he went inside Mr. Gyros to buy food, and when he left the restaurant, his bicycle was missing.

An Oak Lawn man was arrested March 11 after he was found riding a stolen bicycle, according to Oak Lawn police reports.
Luis G Coronel, age 25 of the 9300 block of Sproat Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested March 11 for possession of drug equipment and possession of stolen property, according to an Oak Lawn police report.
Police found Coronel and another man arguing at 92nd Street and Cicero Avenue. The other man said he went inside Mr. Gyros to buy food, and when he left the restaurant, his bicycle was missing. The man said he saw Coronel riding his bike northbound on Cicero Avenue on the east side of the street.

The bicycle owner told Coronel the bike was his, and he knocked Coronel off the bike and held him on the ground until police arrived, according to the police report.
Coronel told police he bought the bike from a man for $13 or $15.

A man who witnessed the argument said he stopped to ask what was going on, and Coronel told him that he had taken the bike.
Coronel was arrested, and a search showed he was in possession of a silver socket inside a black sharpie cap that contained marijuana residue.
Coronel was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of drug equipment. He was given an April 9 court date in Bridgeview.
