MARYLAND — There's still time to visit a recently added exhibit at Maryland's Black history museum. Plus, residents can see bald eagles in these two parks. A signs of spring hike and a landscaping course are also on tap.

Patch recently partnered with several local organizations to bring you their latest news. This guest contribution comes from National Park Service Chesapeake Gateways and Chesapeake Conservancy. Here's what Jody Hedeman Couser submitted to help you explore the Chesapeake Bay:

"Maryland's Official Museum of African American History

The Banneker-Douglass Museum in Annapolis honors the lives and legacies of Benjamin Banneker and Frederick Douglass, and beyond that, the history, heritage and contributions of Black Marylanders and people of the African Diaspora in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. The museum’s recently-added exhibit, The Radical Voice of Blackness Speaks of Resistance and Joy, presents fine art by seventeen Black Maryland-based artists, whose works celebrate the resiliency of a people who have persevered despite social and political devices to suppress them. In-person tours of the museum are available, as well as their beautifully-crafted virtual tour. Plan your visit."
